The timber frame of the end terrace was repaired. Due to the brick facade, all repairs had to be conducted internally.

The existing opening was creasted prior to the commencement of our work. Originally, this was a doorway that had been blocked off and converted into a window. The plan was to reopen it and turn it back into the new front doorway. Once this was agreed upon, it became necessary to address the timber frame.

Both sides of the sole plate were replaced back to soild timber, and the studs were extended using English green oak, finished with a hand plane for a smooth yet characterful appearance. Since all repairs had to be done internally, all patches and fixing holes were plugged to ensure no visible fixings were present.
